Bebek Bengil Restaurant is one of the famous local restaurant in Ubud Village. They serve crispy fried since 1990 with good service in a friendly, comfortable and relaxed athmosphere.
Why this restaurant name Bebek Bengil (dirty Duck)?
When the owner were building the restaurant, he thought of a long and hard about a name. many good suggestions came from his friend but none seems just right.What he want is Balinese traditional name but translate well into English. However, for a long time the metaphor eluded him.
Early in the Morning when the restaurant setup was very close to being finished , a flock of ducks from the rice fields across the road ran quacking and squawking into the restaurant and across floor and tables.They left muddy webbed footprints all over the places. they were our first guests_ those ‘dirty ducks’
Bebek Bengil, the original crispy duck since 1990. half a duck steamed in Indonesia spices and deep fried for a crispy finish. Served with sauteed potatoes and side salad or rice and Balinese vegetable.

Early in the morning my phone ringing, then I check it out, It was a message from Dan Hale (my mate from Australia). For the first time I meet him in one of the hotel in Bali. Then this is the second time I meet him now in Bali, with his friend Brett. I pick him up in the International Ngurah Rai Airport Bali, on monday 12 November 2013. They Arrive around 4.30 in the afternoon, and we straight go to the west coast of Bali which is Pan Pacific hotel, close to Tanah Lot Temple. Before they go for check in we take some waves in front of the hotel. reading

It is 05.oo a clock in the afternoon. Five of us going to Nyanyi beach. And it is nearly close to Tanah Lot Temple. Black sweet sandy beach. And this is the last sunset in Bali for them. We take out the sandals and feel the black sandy beach in Nyanyi Beach. We taking picture as many as we can. We enjoy the sunset and the beautiful red sky. rteading

Today around 05.00 a clock in the afternoon, in Tanah Lot people dressed in traditional Balinese and bring a variety of temple symbols. They come from the Beraban village.
